Space Mountain at Walt Disney World Gets New Sound System
On August 30, 2010, Disney announced that they had added a new sound system to Space Mountain. In a general announcement they said it wasn’t added during the extensive rehab in order to bring the ride back on line as quickly as possible. They also said they did not retrofit the ride vehicles because they wanted the experience to be different than that of Disneyland’s Space Mountain. Instead, they strategically placed 60 speakers throughout the mountain. Jack Spence visits the revamped attraction and shares his thoughts in his latest blog.

AllEars.Net Announces 15th Anniversary Celebration Plans
AllEars.Net has announced plans for its 15th anniversary celebration, beginning in January 2011. Readers can look forward to a number of site enhancements, meet-and-greets in various Disney locations, and much more, including a special group cruise on the newest Disney Cruise Line ship, the Disney Fantasy, in 2012.
New Star Tours Video Previewed
At the Star Wars Celebration V fan event, fans caught a first glimpse of a new video that will appear in the queue area of the reimagined Star Tours attraction in Disneyland park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios next year. The video produced by Star Tours is a new "commercial" that shows one of their exciting getaway travel packages. The revamped attraction is set to open in May 2011 at both theme parks.
Interview with Epcot's Food and Wine Festival Organizer
AllEars.Net's Debra Martin Koma recently interviewed Marianne Hunnel, who, as area manager for Park Event Operations, has been charged with coordinating this year's Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. In its 15th year, the festival is introducing a number of new programs, such as the First Bites Opening Reception and the 3D Disney's Dessert Discovery, as well as bringing back some old favorites. The festival runs October 1 through November 14, 2010. Reservations for special dining events are being taken now at 407-WDW-FEST.
New Live Show Coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios
A new, live, rock-concert style show will debut at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland this fall. The new show, as-yet unnamed, will feature music from a number of hit Disney Channel TV shows, including "Camp Rock," "StarStruck," and "High School Musical." The show's format will be similar to that of the current HSM3 show currently running in the parks. It's set to begin on October 22, which means that High School Musical 3: Senior Year -- Right Here, Right Now! will end its run on October 2 at Walt Disney World, and on October 17 at Disney California Adventure.
Holiday Happenings at Walt Disney World
In addition to the previously released dates for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, other 2010 holiday happenings at Walt Disney World have been announced. The Magic Kingdom's Castle Dreamlights begin the same night as the first Christmas Party on November 8. Over in Disney's Hollywood Studios, the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights also start November 8 and continue through January 3, 2011. Epcot's Candlelight Processional begins November 26, the day after Thanksgiving, with celebrity narrator Isabella Rossellini.

Main Street Electrical Parade Extended at Walt Disney World!
By popular demand, the Main Street Electrical Parade, which returned to Magic Kingdom in June as part of Summer Nightastic!, will continue an open-ended run beyond its original end date of August 14. According to Park Vice President Phil Holmes, the parade's return has been "an overwhelming success."
