As Labor Day weekend comes to an end, Disneyland will enter a brief couple of weeks of a between-seasons lull.  Off-season crowds will allow Disney to take advantage of this time to get some refurbishments underway before big crowds return for the wildly popular Halloween Time festivities. The holiday weekend also marked the curtain call for several opening-day fixtures in California Adventure, including the Maliboomer thrill ride and Pizza Oom Mow Mow and Burger Invasion restaurants.

How did September get here so quickly? Where did our Summer go? No time to sit and reflect on another Summer past, we’ve got Fall falling into place. There is a brief lull in which to get big construction projects off the ground, and soon Maliboomer, Mulholland Madness, Pizza Oom Mow Mow and Burger Invasion will become part of California Adventure’s latest overhaul zone.

Disneyland’s popular Fantasmic! show ended its summer with a bang this weekend, but not in a good way. The show’s giant dragon audio-animatronic collapsed mid-show on Saturday night, prompting the cancellation of the show’s second performance and a flurry of Disney fan chatter on Twitter and the MiceChat discussion boards.

Theme Park Battle In Asia: Universal vs. Paramount

Disney, Universal, Paramount and others have been rushing to build parks in Asia.  These parks are, at times, even better than the originals in the USA that they are modeled after.  Today, Alain Littaye, our French friend from Disney and More, takes a look at a possible new Universal Studios park for India and a new Paramount park for Japan which will compete directly with Universal Osaka.  It is a fascinating theme park battle.
